What safety measures are in place for the activities?
Our company takes every safety precaution when designing and subsequently carrying out each activity.
To this end, these tasks are carried out by trained professionals; we hold civil liability insurance covering our professional work; we are fully compliant with health and safety regulations; and we use approved materials and safety equipment such as first-aid kits, mobile phones and two-way radios. Furthermore, our clients are always covered by personal accident insurance.
On our website, we describe each activity, emphasising the level of difficulty so that customers can sign up for those best suited to their physical condition. At the time of registration, they are asked whether they have any medical conditions or are currently undergoing any medical treatment. This information is particularly important for customers with diabetes, asthma or allergies. In these cases, it is essential to bring the necessary medication with you to the activity, in sufficient quantities in case the activity is extended due to unforeseen circumstances (please bring enough medication to last 24 hours).
However, please note that our activities take place in the natural environment, which can sometimes be unpredictable; consequently, we cannot be held responsible for any extraordinary events that may occur there.
Personal accident insurance. Exclusions
The insurance provides cover exclusively for accidents occurring in the course of work. By definition, an accident is: a bodily injury resulting from a violent, sudden, fortuitous, external and unintentional event, which gives rise to any of the cover provisions underwritten and expressly included in the Special Conditions of our policy.
The following, amongst others, are expressly excluded:
– Accidents resulting from the deliberate use of drugs, narcotics or alcoholic drinks.
– Self-harm, whether caused consciously or unconsciously.
– Illnesses of any kind, including heart attacks and strokes.
– Heatstroke, frostbite or other effects of atmospheric temperature, unless they result from an accident.
– Cases of food poisoning caused by the ingestion of foodstuffs in general.
If you wish, you can ask us for full details of our policy by email.
Basic rules of conduct
For the safety of all participants, the instructions given by the organisation’s guides or instructors must be followed at all times. Failure by any participant to comply with these instructions may result in their exclusion from the activity, without any refund being due. Our staff may also decide that a registered participant is not authorised to take part in an activity, in the interests of the general safety of the group and the safety of the person in question. In such cases, no refund will be given, as this person has taken up a place that can no longer be sold.
Photographs taken along the routes:
Our company occasionally takes photographs during our activities in which our customers appear. These images are our property and may be used for promotional purposes across various media (posters, leaflets, our website, social media, etc.). Our company reserves the right to use these images without having to give prior notice to our customers. If any customer does not wish to appear in the photographs or does not want us to use their image, they must inform us of this before the start of each event. A special case applies to images featuring minors; in such cases, we will always seek prior authorisation before publishing any material in which a minor’s face is visible.
