About this activity
For anyone who wants to reach the summit of Spain’s highest volcano. Climb to Spain’s highest point (3,715 m) – official permit included. Take the cable car up and walk the final stretch to the summit of the Canary Islands’ most iconic volcano.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Tickets for the Teide cable car are not included in the booking. You must book them directly on the official website www.volcanoteide.com (book tickets for 9.45 am or the nearest available time).
- This is a high-altitude activity and is therefore not recommended for people with heart or respiratory conditions, children under the age of 7, or pregnant women.
- Please note: The courtesy waiting time is 15 minutes. Please allow sufficient time for your journey by car to the meeting point. Once the courtesy waiting time has elapsed, we will start the tour and no refunds will be given.
- Once the booking has been made, we will arrange the permits to access the peak in your name. Should any issues arise when issuing the permits, we will contact you to offer an alternative date or to refund the amount paid.
- Once a booking has been confirmed, this activity cannot be cancelled, as permits to access the summit of Mount Teide cannot be cancelled or transferred to another customer.
- The activity will go ahead provided there are at least 5 people registered. Should this minimum number not be reached on any occasion, you may choose another date, another activity, or request a refund.
- In the event of the cable car service being cancelled for reasons beyond our control (adverse weather conditions or faults with the cable car facilities), an alternative walking tour will be organised in the National Park and no refund will be given to the participant.
Itinerary

Starting point: Teide Cable Car station
At the agreed time, we’ll meet at the cable car station, at an altitude of 2,356 metres. Here, you’ll receive a comprehensive briefing to help you prepare and make the most of this unique experience. We’ll explain the route, safety measures and interesting facts about Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

A cable car ride: thrills galore
We’ll board the cable car to begin a dizzying journey up to an altitude of 3,555 metres. In just 8 minutes, you’ll find yourself floating above a breathtaking volcanic landscape, with views that look like something from another planet.
A real ‘wow’ moment! As you climb, the sea of clouds and the lava formations beneath your feet turn every second into a living postcard.

La Rambleta and the entrance to the Telesforo Bravo footpath (no. 10)
On arrival at the cable car’s upper station (La Rambleta), we will begin the access control process for the exclusive Trail No. 10, also known as Telesforo Bravo. This trail, which is limited to a small number of visitors each day, is the gateway to the Teide crater.
Wow moment!: Only a privileged few each day can carry on from here to the summit. And you’ll be one of them!

The final ascent to the crater: conquering the roof of Spain
Accompanied by our specialist guide, we’ll begin the ascent on foot to the summit of Mount Teide (3,715 m), the highest point in Spain. Along the trail, we’ll share fascinating stories about the geology, flora, fauna and culture associated with the volcano and the park.
A real ‘Wow’ moment!: Once you reach the summit, you’ll have 15 minutes to enjoy the absolute silence and an indescribable panoramic view. Weather permitting, you’ll be able to see up to four of the Canary Islands: La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro and Gran Canaria. A truly breathtaking experience in every sense!

Descent from the crater and free time at the upper station
After enjoying the view from the summit, we’ll begin our descent back to La Rambleta. Once there, you’ll have some free time (without a guide) to explore at your own pace.
We recommend visiting the Pico Viejo volcano viewpoint, whose crater – 800 metres in diameter – is impressive both for its size and for the views towards the south-west of the island.

End of the experience and optional exploration of the National Park
Once the guided tour is over, you can continue exploring other parts of Teide National Park at your own pace. From spectacular viewpoints to trails winding through lava flows, the park offers endless opportunities to continue marvelling at its beauty.
