This experience is a must while on holiday on Tenerife Our special Mount Teide Hiking Tour will take you to the very top of the highest volcano in Spain and one of the most impressive in the world.

Declared a World Heritage Site, El Teide is the most visited National Park in Europe.

Mount Teide Hiking Tour starts at 9:00 am at the lower station of the Teide Cable Car facilities (CABLE CAR TICKETS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE) located at 2,356 meters above sea level Our guide will meet and greet you there and will continue with you during the remain of the guided tour.

After hopping on the first available cabin of the cable car and during the ascent you will surely enjoy the fantastic views of the National Park. The ride takes between 8-10 minutes so once you reach the upper station located a 3,555 meters high you will have time to check out some of the most outstanding and unique views of Tenerife.

Together with our guide you will go through the check point that gives you access to path number 10 that leads you up to the very top of the volcano. You will be entering a restricted area. It is strictly forbidden to abandon the path

From that point our Mount Teide Hiking Tour will begin the ascent on foot to the highest point while our guide will provide you with information about the past and present of the National Park in general and Mount Teide in particular. Once we reach the top we will have a minimum of 15 minutes to enjoy the views. If the weather is good we will be able to see 4 of the Canary Islands (La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro and Gran Canaria).

About 11:00 am you will start the walk back down from the crater leaving you enough free time (without the guide) to check out Pico Viejo Volcano from its viewpoint (my recommendation as its crater is 800 meters in diameter). In addition you will have time to drive by yourself and stop at all those usual visits within Teide National Park. The stop at the famous Roques de García is mandatory!

The duration of the Mount Teide Hiking Tour described is approximately 2,5 hours It is a relatively simple path but not recommended for people with respiratory or heart problems, children under 6 years of age or pregnant women.

Meeting place and time: 9:00 h. Base of the Teleférico (Please arrive 15 minutes before the start).

You must bring: ID card or passport, clothes and sports shoes, coat, hat, sunscreen, hiking poles, water and picnic
Attention: This is a high mountain activity not recommended for people with cardio-respiratory problems, children under 8 years old and pregnant women.
Look out: The waiting time of courtesy is 15 minutes. Please calculate in advance the duration of the journey by car to the meeting point. After the courtesy time, we start the route and the amount is not refunded.

IN CASE THAT WE CAN’T CONFIRM YOUR BOOKING, WE OFFER YOU AN ALTERNATIVE DATE OR WE WILL PROCEED THE REFUND OF THE AMOUND PAID.

ALSO, BECAUSE THE OPERATION OF THE PERMISSIONS OF THE NATIONAL PARK, IF YOU BOOK THIS ACTIVITY YOU CAN’T CANCEL UNDER ANY CASE.

IMPORTANT: If the cable car is not operating on the day of the tour for reasons beyond our competition (adverse weather or damage to the cable car facilities) an alternative excursion will take place and will not return the amount to the user.
